I have magnaflow exhaust with a 4 inch tip and 2.5 inch piping. Catback with a high performance racing resonator but I'm not sure how I would get a sound clip of it. I don't have anything to record it with and I don't have a microphone that will reach outside where the car is lol.

I wonder if I record it with a voice recorder, then play the voice recorder for my computer microphone if it will be a horrible dub after doing it twice like that? Suggestions on how I could possibley do it?

I could get a newer camcorder and then don't you install something on your computer to play the video on your computer? A fire some thing or another. My friend used to do that for his skating videos he'd make of himself.

Not nessasarly, the Camcorder you get could come with a USB Transfer cable insted, which all computers from basically late 99' come with.

If you had a DVD-ROM Drive, and a DVD CamCorder, you can just pop in the disk and rip it, however these are extremely expensive, and I actually dont reccomend em due to some playback issues, price of disks, and the length of em.

THe card you talking about is prob. a FireWire (IEEE-1394 I believe) card, which provides faster transfer than usb (unless you have usb 2.0, which is just about the same speeds) but chances are you don't have that card, as they don't come stock really on anycomputers yet.

My exhaust (REAL SOUND CLIP)

I decided to go ahead and take a sound clip from my exhaust. It's pretty decent. I used my basic computer microphone and it picked up fairly nicely. The only bad thing was is that my car was about 15-20 feet from the mic so it doesn't sound as good as it could. Atleast It's the first clip available right Hope yall enjoy.

No I had the car backed up to the curb which is a good 15-20 feet from our apartment window. I'm going to actually pull up in the grass from the handicap curb to get just a few feet from the window and it should pick up a little better. Besides, don't have anything better to do today..

I originally had a audio clip but I decided to make a video/audio clip today. This one is by far better. Sorry about the annoying chirp noise in the video. That's my neighbors alarm chirping everytime I rev my exhaust. Enjoy
