I have a 2004 Ralliart and I'm in the process of following a write up on here for fixing the sunroof. The write up requires removal of the headliner and thus the "Oh $hit" handles. Does anyone have any tricks to get these suckers off? I've tried placing a flathead screw driver under there from the outside edge. I know you have to pop the ends up then slide them to the middle but I just can't seem to get it. Does anyone have experience with these? Thanks in advance!

 

they should just be screwed in.

 

They are, but they have plastic caps on the end that you need to pry off and slide to the middle of the handle. Kind of like covers to hide the screws.

 

dunno man never had mine out...I had to replace the headliner in my ranger the handles just screwed on, and they come right off...let us know, I'm sure my sunroof won't last forever.
