I am new here, just wanted to ask if anyone had advice on what else I should pull from my car before scrapping the shell?

On the list:
engine
trans
harness + cluster
doors
body kit (parts not damaged)
front seats

Is there anything else of value that is worth my time to pull it?

 

any aftermarket parts?

 

Just the exhaust.

Is anything else in the dash of value, HVAC stuffs? How gnarley is it to pull the airbag(s)?


My plan is to keep the motor for a rainy day project and sell what else I can. Once I disable the car, I only have 72 hour to have everything gutted (city street ordinance).. so it will be marathon.

I have another project in my garage atm, so the timing could not have been worse.

 

the HVAC controller is a sought after item, and OEM new is rather pricey, and the knobs tend to break off, someone actually posted about it recently...if you keep the motor, you'll want to keep the ECU, and harness other wise I'd ask for the harness, but if you lived closer I'd buy the whole engine too. haha.


just take as much as you can out, and make a fs post with all the items you managed to take out...I've been personally looking for a steering rack and all 4 control arms, but how much can the car be stripped?

The plan is to gut as much as I can in the time I have, steering rack/column and pedal box for sure. Not sure about the control arms, but I can likely just get a flatbed to pickup the shell even if its on the ground.
