Low Idle and Stalls out

Hey folks,

I own a 2004 Lancer RA. The last couple days, it has stalled out on me at a complete stop. What it does is it will idle at around 800-1000 rpms, then it'll go down to 500 and below and the gauge lights will dim down and shut off. It restarts just fine, and goes. Sometimes, I have to rev it to 1500rpms when im at a stop light or stop sign to prevent it from stalling out. Ive checked my thottle body and vacuum lines. Theyre fine and not loose. Anyone have any idea whats causing this to happen?

anything will be such a huge help! thanks in advance!

Yes crans is right. I had the same issues as you. The valve is most likely stuck open. There is a vacuum line coming from the intake manifold that you could plug and that would fix your problem for the mean time. Ive had that line plugged for 2 years now. You can try cleaning it or buying a new one and I think its only sold in dealerships.
