Engine Mounts
Engine Mounts
I have to do my engine mounts for the 3rd time. Kinda getting tired of throwing money away. I wanted to get the polyurethane ones but really not looking forward to all the vibration considering I do almost an hour of traffic everyday. So I think I wanna try the window-weld crap and see if it can be durable. From what I can gather its a lot less stiff than the urethane ones and shouldn't cause to much vibration in the cabin. What can I use as a primer to make the window weld properly bond to the rubber so that it lasts.

When you say a tiny bit. Is it bothersome? I'm not exactly sure what you mean crans. You didn't fill it to the exterior like so?

or you just filled in the 2 gaps to make it like one piece. Kinda like this but properly filling the holes up and making it even with the rubber?

see the thin rubber inside the mount? Cut that out so that when you fill it with window weld its one piece all the way thru, instead of a piece on each side.
And I just got some extra vibration in the steering wheel when sitting still. its not bothersome at all. I'll soon be filling ALL my motor mounts and deleting the balance shafts. So I might have some more vibration then but the front and rear motor mounts weren't bad at all. My wife never even complained about it, however she did complain when the rear mount went bad. that was ridiculous.
