Hello, I have a problem with my car... the battery in it is dead, so i tried to jumpstart the car with my frs.. i plugged the red on the positive and the black somewhere on the motor for the ground.. once i plugged the black, it immediately sparked and it burned my cable once i tried to start my lancer...


So i then tried with a powerpack, once again same result, sparked immediately when i plugged the black cable.. and nothing works in the car like there is absolutely nothing that light up..


anyone have an idea of what it could be?

you have a short...a big one...that's why the battery is dead in the first place...

because on the 2 pole of the batterie connector there was ''vert-de-gris'' i dont know what it's called in English, it's copper oxydation.. I tought maybe there wasn't any power because of it, i removed it but still nothing..

everything is fixed, i found what is the problem, it starts like a new car

I had a short in my headlight so i unplugged them and everything is fine now, imma redo the connection today, i prep the car for winter..
