06 Ralliart question

I drive a 2006 Lancer Ralliart, and yesterday I had this problem with the car, it wouldn't pick up any speed and the rpm needle wouldn't go past 3000 rpms, so this morning I turned it on and it was running perfectly. Can anybody tell me what was wrong with it? Thanks

It could be a number of things but it sounds like the car went into limp mode because it detected that something wasn't right.

I'm sure the check engine light turned on, right? Next time, try to get the code pulled before it gets reset.

Also, sometimes the car stays in limp mode until you unplug the battery for a while to reset the ECU. For me, it happened when my cold air intake drank some water during some harsh rains.

Search for limp mode in these forums and you'll get an idea of what other problems people have had that caused their cars to go into this state.

Rockauto.com is definitely the single best place to get affordable replacement parts, even for Canadians....they pre-pay duty charges.
