I've learned the RRM CAI won't work on my Sportback because of the automatic transmission. I'm now thinking about going with the UR SRI. I'm concerned the gains will be less due to the heat in the engine compartment. Anyone running the SRI that has dyno numbers or G-Tech numbers? I'd like to know it's going to do something other than sound stronger and therefore make butt dyno improvements only.

How about start with everything and we'll go from there? I'm interested in real world results really. I saw on their website it did about 8whp and 4wtq increase. That doesn't seem like much gain and I'm wondering if it's noticeable at all. I don't mind spending some money but I want it to produce good results. I was actually planning to go RRM but since I have an A/T I can't use some of their stuff.

From looking at their dyno sheets it doesn't jump up faster and then gradually even up it's just a very small increase all along the curve. The torque actually suffers at the lower end it appears. I just don't want to spend money on something that isn't going to make a true difference. I don't care about butt and eardrum dynos.

The stage 1 is the SRI and an exhaust...the RA already has a sport-tuned exhaust, so that part of it won't add much. as for the 8hp sounds pretty good when you look a the fact that the CAI will do 10hp and runs more $, increases chances of hydrolock, and at least here, can void warrenty...

And well, there's the fact that the cai can't go for the sportback, so I'd say your only option at the moment for intake is either just replacing the stock filter with a K&N or going with the SRi...assuming that the sri does fit...

If you do a search I gave a pretty good rundown of the Ultimate stage 1 package...however, to save you some time I'll tell ya this much.

Is the increase noticable...yes, is it goin' to blow your mind...no of course not.
What it does aside from the ACTUAL gain is gives the RA better throttle response and an overall "sportier" feel. Granted, I only drove it once....but that was my first impression....and oh yeah...the SRI that they made makes the damn car sound like its got a freakin turbo in it!!!
