TERRIBLE Smell From A/C

.... OK I don't know if anyone else has experienced this yet, but when I turn my A/C on, all is good.....But once I park my car and then start it and turn the A/C on, out comes this HORRIFIC smell from the vents....It smells like something crawled in there and died, or an off the hook fart (the rotten egg smell)......Anyone else experiencing this??....Or should I just take it in.....I'm afraid to turn my A/C on.....

Sounds like mold in the vents somewhere. I've heard of that happening. Not sure what they do to correct it but take it in.

take your car in to the dealer if it is something that bothers you. I personally would be bothered if it smelled like *** in my new car.

are you sure It's not you? Maybe when the air shoots out of the vents it blows the smell towards you and you can smell yourself hummin like Arnolds Hummer?

Do you use it often?

I know most Heaters/AC's and not just ones in cars have a really distinct smell coming out of the vents after a long period of non-use.

I think he is describing something that is normal, I wouldn't call it that bad of a smell, but an unpleasant odor comes out for like 5 seconds. If his smell stops coming out after a little bit, then it's normal, but if it just keeps coming out non-stop, it's something that needs to be checked out.

You are correct.

Sorry to say, but that smell coming out of the vents is your body odor. That's what my master technician instructor for Nissan said.

I ran over a dead dog once (by accident) and I guess the guts splattered under the car and there was the worstest smell ever a few weeks later

You forgot to put in the "j/k". At least I certainly hope you are kidding and aren't being taught something as ludicrous as that by a supposed master tech.
