Angry Ticking noise from the engine..?

My RA has about 6K miles and I'm starting to hear some ticking noise from the engine that I don't recall remember hearing when new..It's sort of noise lika a sticky lifter or valve...tic,tic,tic,tic...all the time! It maybe normal or it could be the injectors that sound like that and I havent noticed it from new. I would like your comments on this guys maybe all RA's sound like this and I'm getting all worked-up..by the sound of the injectors..
Any help will be appreciated..

Thanx..

i'm pretty sure its a common thing to the ra's. my buddy's ra was doing the same thing at around 6k and his dealer said it was something with the mivec timing. i'd give the dealer a quick call if you're still worried.

I get a ticking when the interior bell noise is going off, I think it's just an electric thing though.

many times it will be lifter noise. if that's the case you shouldn't be too worried about it. almost all normal Lancers have it

im pretty sure its a normal thing if all of us are hearing a tick, so there should be nothing for us to be worried about.

Mine does the same thing. I also always notice new noises, not because they are necessarly new, but because I just happen to listen more closely or hear a reflected sound. I even went so far as to go to the dealer and convince them to met me run another RA from cold to hot and through the rpm range to see if it was different (sounded the same everywhere). Also it sounds different in gear. Regardless, I then realized that if it doesn't break or go bad in the next 100,000 miles or 10 years, it's probably not going to, and they have to fix it if it does; so I stopped worring. Just my 2 cents.

Yhea, it's most likely just the lifters, like Bob said. Those of us with the 2.0 liter engine will probably notice the noise sooner (because it's loud as hel on a cold motor). I doubt it has anything to do with MIVEC, as that's nothing more than variable valve timing...the lifters will go all clickety-clack regardless of the current timing.
