I am thinking about replacing the connectors to gold. That may work better? I like the results I got. Maybe I will change them, if I have the time to. I will post if I do.

people who buy them for $30 to $40 will get what they pay for. Initially you will notice a difference with the cheap stuff but over time, the wire is not designed for the high heat temps of the engine bay and will start to discolor and disintegrate.. if you take them after a few months and measure the conductivity, you will see that it's really bad..

the $200 ones have better conductors as well as engineering..

So if you are going 80mph, does your tach sit right at or a little below 4k rpms? if so mine does the same with no grounding kit.

its getting bit fishy as to why the rpm drops when ground kit is added. Since speed/rpm is done mechanically, maybe what you see if just the ground kit affecting the tachometer and not the speed itself.

the tach signal wire send the signal to the tach.. so maybe the grouding affecting this signal and make his tach go off

can i speculate here? what if there is a difference in the RPM because of the AC kicking on? i mean, just from idle its common knowledge that your RPM rises a bit when the AC is turned on.

just a thought.

at idle the gear ratios are not taken into play.. once you are moving it's a different story

I didn't have my camera with me to take pictures, but I checked, and my speed and RPM are both exactly the same as the ones in the pictues posted - and I don't have a grounding kit.
