Ralliart in autocross!
So I'm taking stuff out of my trunk at the CSCC Autocross last Sunday when this Ralliart Lancer parks a few spaces away from me. Walking over to say hi, he explains that he will be running it in H stock for the time being (until either he decides to mod his car or SCCA classes the car in G stock). Posted some pretty nice times too, 3rd place out of 5. I believe he said he reads these forums, so here's some pics of you Sean. Enjoy!

btw, these pics are from another thread filled with autocross pics: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...2&page=1&pp=15

hey thanks man, i'm sean, the one that brought it out to the autocross. Those are some nice pics and the car felt great out there. It doesnt even push that much anymore after i simply changed the tire pressure(39 front, 25 back). That was all completely stock though. I want to put some Kumho victoracers on and get an alignment so i can do a lot better in scca.
Wow! You rock man!
Did you really go out with the stick Goodyears?!? If so you're a brave man my friend...
I really must get on with it and go do that too!!! Can't wait to try this out! It looks like a heck of a lot of fun!
We can almost see you smile under your helmet!
Was the helmet required in your class?

Can anyone give a comparison of the Goodyear stock tires to the Bridgestone Potenza'a that mine came with? The Bridgestone appears to be the stock tire here. Nice posting and great car Sean.

It looked like the springs are still a bit soft for autocrossing, as you can see how compressed they are around a sharp corner and the Chicago box, but the car is a decent contender in stock class (even if they move it soon). Would also do well in STS assuming it continues to recieve aftermarket support. I'm amazed at the spread in tire pressure. You mentioned some front camber achieveable stock, so maybe that and your choice in tires will help you eliminate the push without sacrificing so much of your tire's grip.
Also, I happened to be talking to Rob at Road///Race Motorsports about my upcoming engine mods, and told him about seeing you out there. He invites you to come by the shop some time and see what he has done to his Ralliart, including suspension, engine, and dress up. I'm hoping he takes that baby out to autocross in STS some day (and that he might want a codriver, hehe). Looking forward to seeing you out there again soon!

hope to see more pics of you autoX-ing, slolancer
In stock class you can change tires and change shocks, right?
Are KYB adjustables available for the Lancer Ralliart? And would that kick ya out of stock class?

You can change shocks but not springs, and a helmet costs about $100 (they only require Snell motorcycle certificated helmets from the past 10 years). I've had the same helmet for 5 years now, got it on sale at a Honda shop for $90.
