Seems kinda strange though that you would choose 2 vehicles atleast that don't hold value well thats all (mitsu's unfortunately are like hyundai's with trade in value and retail). I'm not saying to go out an buy a porsche or something...a couple of people I know are quite wealthy and one has a fully hooked up 911 (owns a club in philly among other things...nice down to earth person also) and his brother a ferrari ..thats just personal taste...if you got the money why not get a real enthusiasts car...like an elise...40k...not too expensive for the specs it has and gas friendly...1.8l if I remember right and handling and accelleration out the wazzoo! just seems strange...even if you are a penny pincher ...I'm sure the escalade cost more...

As for me being a teenager, you are totally wrong- as a matter of fact, It's funny that you mention Gran Tourismo- because I do work in the game industry, I am working on the next greatest driving game ever, and I probably make 5X the money you do. So if I don't respond to any future replies, It'll be because I'm very busy making a game that 99% of the people on this board are going to buy. Instead of being a ***** to people just making harmless posts, why don't you just offer friendly advice and be helpful. That's what these things are for, right? Peace out and get a life.

Swet, you're a game engineer, thats what I'm going to study. What school did you go to?

Wow is your name driver because you certainly are answering a lot of posts for him...LOL...if you noticed what I said and actually read it I stated that the escalade cost more than that car ..thats why I thought it was strange that he didn't go for something more gas efficient and still sporty being the escalade cost more and probably "drinks" more gas than I drink water in a year..LOL ...either way I have spoken to him in email and thats that.

how is jap offensive? its not slang, its just a shorter version of japanese. it would be like calling black people bla, or american things ame or amer. try not to let these little things get to you man, it really shouldn't matter in this case.

it was used in WWII to coin the term Japanese, just like "gook" "*****"..... i understand it is shorter, but if you read your history correctly and fully understood, you would understand my POV.... i dont expect people to know that, its just has a negative connotation to it in these days....

FYI "nig/ger" was not deragatory until the american civil war, it was turned into a negative connotation at that time and emphasized in the early 60's.... afriacan americans used to call each other that, just like as it is slang in todays language... just when used by someone other then the black hertage it was used widely to denounce a certain ethnicity....

just asking it to be changed, nothing more....

i'm followin ya. it all amuses me though, because its all context, ya know? for example...
my girlfriend did something that was really sexy, and i said "you are such a woman!" in the good way (emphasis on such). then on another occasion, she freaked out over something dumb, and i said "you are such a woman!" (emphasis on woman).

same damn thing, two totally different meanings and reactions.

*****, ******, whatever. i think if you recognize the context, you should take that into consideration so that it shouldn't need to be changed. if somebody made a thread and called it "white *** cracker lancer" i could care less man. its the internet.

and like you, i'm not trying to fight, just trying to major in the majors and minor in the minors.

to most Japanese who understand.. 'jap' IS offensive. So whether you/he/she/we don't think it's a big deal.. I suppose it's a good idea not to use it since it DOES offend a majority of the people the term refers to? I think (guessing here) it was brought up because it was used kind of flippantly, not really an abbreviation.

poor us.. =(

You obviously have NO IDEA what the hell ur talking about. Thats a completely ignorant claim. Who told u AWD is best for drag racing? Have you even heard of he evo? Sure its fast at first because it doesnt spin its tires but do you have any clue how harsh it is on the power train? The transfer case, tranny, clutch etc etc all get heavily fudged up when u drag race an evo. AWD = NOT a drag car. not to mention how the awd cars have no top end power compared to 2wd cars. Now i agree out of fwd/rwd/awd that fwd isnt the best for drag racing but AWD is definitely worse than fwd on your car. besides, do you really want a awd car that has a pathetic amount of torque and hp? How do you expect the wheels to move? Blah im done with this.

You know, for a guy who comes in flaming and throwing blows, you arent having much of a clue. The AWD IS better than FWD in MOST cases. The FWD is stronger on the freeway IF the AWD system is 60-40 power distribution through the transfer case. IF the AWD is 50-50 than the only advantage the FWD has is a little more power loss to the wheels and curb weight. The Evo is 50-50 so your whole theory about its top speed is flat out wrong. The Eclispe was 60-40 in the GSX and that would make your previous statement correct. As far as drag racing goes, AWD is great for daily driven street cars...arguably the best set-up. Yiou can put good power out of them and still not lose traction, while the whole time you can still daily drive the car and not worry about spinning in an intersection during a left turn (like I did in my 300ZX TT). I would take this car with 162 HP MIVEC and AWD ANY DAY!! As would anybody who knows about cars...but a little turbo and 200+hp would be nicer. So in your own words, "Blah I'm done with this."

Technicially in the high hp range with low et's rear wheel drive is the most effective, because of teh weight shift of the car at launch and through out the quater mile. Awd only has a advantage if the rwd cars rear tires total grip isn't the same or more than the total grip of all four tires in the awd car. And that only really matters for launch. But if the rwd car is tubbed or has a good set of slicks it is better for drag; also both fwd and rwd (though here i'm refering mostly to rwd) loose less hp through the powertrain, so it dependes on what level your at and the tires you run; and obviously suspension also.
