So has anyone either swapped out they're seats or looked into whether or not a new bracket will be needed? I'm looking into a set now, but don't know if the sliders the seats come w/ will bolt straight up.

 

I heard that most aftermarket seats will bolt up to the stock brackets with just a little modification (that's if the ralliart's are the same as 02-03 lancers which they probably are). I would go ahead and get your seats and try that, then look for brackets if it doesn't work.

 

has anyone else noticed that the side of the drivers side seat get "worn" real fast, i try not to rub agenst it when i get in but its almost hard not to.

 

what do you mean "worn?" The fabric changes color and texture when you rub against it, I've noticed.

Well I think he just means everytime you get in or out you like slide over that side part of the seat, mine has definately lost some of its firmness.

 

Quick fix for the wear and tear on your drivers seat, get in from the passenger side. .......or just get a seat cover.

I was looking at some seats from APC as well as some JDM Seats on Ebay ... I'm just not sure about how they would feel. Some of them don't seem to have any lower back support whatsoever, and the Sparco and Recaro's are super expensive!!

Which seats where you guys looking at??

APC (A Piece Of Crap) sucks, i sat in them up at the pep boys and its like sitting on a concrete block. If you lookin for best bang for the buck, get tenzo R's. You can get them on ebay for cheap plus tenzo makes the brackets for our cars so you dont have to modify anything.

 

thats excatly what I mean. I try to avoid doing it but some times it hard, and if it's starting to lose the firmnes now, what will it be like in 2-3 years?

 

So you have acutally sat in these Tenzo's before?? How comfortable are they .. say compared to the Recaros in the EVI VIII?? Do they offer adequate lower Back support?? And what is the differences between the Type-R's and the Type R Evolutions??

RACTIVE also makes a set which look and feel alot like the Sparco Torino's. Those are the ones I'll probably go for. Also they come w/ the sliders and I've been told that they should line straight up.

 

Ractive seats are crap too, friend of mine has them in his civic and i hate them, as does he. get the TenzoR's or just save up and get the real deals like Recaro or Sparco or Bride (you'll have to get approved for a second mortgage for Brides tho heheeh). that's what i'm doing. by the time i save up, my seats will be nicely worn out and need to be replaced anyways, then i'll have some nice sweet *** seats. AND you can buy more fabric for the rear seats to be covered in the same color when you buy Recaro's/Sparco's, etc.
