Radar Detector flew out the window of my RA

Yup, its exactly like it sounds. I left work and rolled both my front windows down to let the hot air out. The heat must have caused the suction cups on my radar detector to loose suction from the windshield it was attatched to and it landed flat on the dashboard. I wasn't freaked beause this kind of thing happens from time to time. I was in the middle of turning left at an intersection and I caught the radar detector out of the corner of my eye. It just started sliding and cleared the gap between the dash and the door and slid right out the window!

I looked back in my rear view mirror and saw parts bouncing off the road. i had considered going back for it but there were cars on 3 sides of me. It really sucked. But oh well, time for a better detector.

At least you don't live in VA, where it doesn't matter if you can afford it or not... it's freaking illegal! I believe one of only 2 states!

it's illegal in most states. I know it's Illigal in Indiana. Which ****ing sucks, because sometimes I just want to go fast.

If I handn't wanted to speed, I would have bought a Geo Metro or something crappy and cheap. And don't tell me you bought an EVO for the looks. I bought my ralliart because it can move its ***. I drive on the Baltimore beltway and have about a 45 minute commute. I run late sometimes. Besides, everybody is doing at least 70 on the beltway when the speedlimit is 55. Cops just pull somebody over at random because you are speeding by the fact that you are on the beltway. Its not law inforcement, its taxation. I've had a basic radar detector for 7 years and I feel naked without it.

I read a Review of the latest whistler and the Bel 980. They both beat the **** outta the Valentine 1 which really surprised me considering they're $100 less. I might see if one of my buds at Best Buy can hook me up.
