CAI has more of a gain than SRI does.
Cold=more, colder, denser air
Short Ram=more air than stock, but warm air.

Cold Air intakes are the best intake for performance. Short ram is good if you're on a budget, or afraid of hydrolock. But it really takes a lot to hydrolock an engine. You basically have to completely submerge the bottom end of your car.

Will it hydro lock if i drove over a large puddle of water (about 3" deep)? Will it hydrolock if i drive it over snow?? Snow = Frozen water = hydrolock?

Theoriticaly no, since you basically need to sink your intake manifold to be able to hydrolock the engine, namely when the water 'consume' the fuel that disturb the burning process. Hydrolock mostly happen only with fuel if injectors get stuck open, that is when an engine hydolocks it will not turn all the way over.

But in the snow condition case, you are ramming against the snow. CAI might caught the snow from the ground (heavy snowfall). So wouldn't it also disrupts the combustion phase of the engine?
