How much can a Ralliart be had now?
When I visit the mitsu web page, with my specs, the RA is about $19600. How much can I haggle the price down? I am also entitled to $2000 manufacturer's rebate, so whatever the negotiated price is, subtract $2000 from that.
So, how much should I pay for a 5 speed RA?

You should be able to get it down to about 18000 or so I would figure, but without looking at your specs it is hard. It will also depend on the availability in your area. I didn't get any rebates(besides 500 college) and I got out of the dealership for 19 and some change (including tax/title/lic.). I would figure with a 2k rebate you should be able to get out of the dealer with a sun/sound for like 18.5 or so. Just a guess though.

I got a price quote of $17,344 on the RA and 21,672 on an Outlander XLS AWD (yeah, daily driver option again).

What do you guys think a 2004 Ralliart with 30-40k miles, no sun and sound, would cost next June? I'm planning on getting a new car then so I need to know how much more I'll need.

Just purchased an 04 Ralliart 4-door, manual, with the Sun & Sound + side airbag option ($1500 MSRP), for $19k ($15 over invoice) less $1500 cash rebate....final price before taxes $17500. If I had purchased in June, the cash rebate would have been $2000 ($1500 standard cash rebate on Ralliart, plus $500 "Loyalty" cash rebate for currently owning another Mitsubishi). However, effective July 1 the warranty has been (temporarily) improved. Powertrain warranty is still 10yr/100k, but Bumper-to-Bumper has been increased from 3yr/36k to 5yr/60k. Also, free scheduled maintenance has been added for 3yr/45k. This is a great deal and may be worth as much as the $500 I missed on the cash rebates (provided Mitsubishi remains in business).
BTW, in June there was a Mitsubishi-to-dealer cash rebate of $500, which gave the dealers some negatiating room. I do not know if this still applies this month. Also, I believe holdback on the Ralliart is $359.
All these dollars are US.

I would say you should try and get it down to invoice price which would be around $18,700 with the tax/lic/doc fees you would have to add an additional $1870 and with the rebate leaves you out the door with at about $18500

I got an 04 pearl white Ralliart (no sun and sound package) 17,500.00, plus 2000.00 cash back and $500.00 owner Loyalty bonus. So I ended up paying 15,000.00 before fianancing. Of course it's a 5 speed. AT adds another grand if you want it. Good thing I wanted a manual...cheapier and faster.
