Car Alarms

Does anyone know of a good car alarm at a descent price.

This is slightly off topic, but I got a 2-way Audiovox AX900 with command start. Decent price but ****ty alarm. I know thats not what you asked but just a heads up. If someone tries to sell you this alarm keeping looking, there are much better ones out there.

I think an autoloc is way better than an alarm and its only $65. A good thief can get past an alarm, but to get past an autoloc is A LOT of work. Just my .02

blackwidow x5 is an awsome alarm and remote starter. has lots of extra modules and a really nice 2way. remote starter, also /w manual safety mode.

if you want, you can config it /w a PC via a serial cable and their software. all kinds of custom stuff you can do. great price, too, although the initial install is a bit involved.

What makes Autoloc better then other companies like DEI?? I checked the autoloc website for a bit and I didn't see anything there other then keyless entry...well, we already have that....

D-mac - I mean the autoloc metal thing that locks the brake pedal so you can't drive the car. It's like the club, but you can cut the steering wheel and remove. With the autolock, you'd have to cut the brake pedal - one of the strongest parts of the car:
