2004 Ralliart or 2005 RSX Type-S

i'd take rsx-s over ralliart in a heartbeat...its just better in every aspect (well not really considering the price but then again, since your mom can get hookups, price won't differ that much right? just assuming)
let me put it this way
which company is known to have more durable cars and better warranty services generally? mitsu or acu? u decide...

I would honestly get the RSX Type-S anyday over a ralliart. But ONLY the type-S, i test drove the base rsx just out of curiosity (more in my price range) and drove it about half mile before i turned around, doesnt handle anything like the ralliart in my opinion. Plus the "get up and go" power was lacking I thought. (due to less torque) But thats just my two cents
Okay, my 2cents as a new guy here. I don't have the technical knowledge that the rest of the guys here have, but I have 11 years driving experience in europe and another 20 years here.
Buying a car is about self esteem as well as getting the most for your buck. I had a Ford Escort in Europe in the early 80's that passed Porche 911's in turns (their frames would flex if pushed too hard), then they'ld pass me when we hit straights (200+hp vs 125 hp, but same top end-240 km), then I'ld pass them again when we hit the turns. Any body in a Pinto with a v8 can go fast in a straight line. I like turns better than straight line driving, so for me the horse power was not so much the crux of the matter since I didn't have to slow down so much in turns and curves. There were tons of Porches, but few Escorts that would harass them. I loved it! Did I care that other cars looked sportier? Not much, I had something that suited my driving style and wallet.
There are tons of rsx's out there, where I live I have not seen another RA on the road. My friend tells me has seen one in a town near here. Everybody compliments my car. It is more economical to drive and insure, parts are less expensive (so far), nobody has one and most don't know what it is since I also have debadged it. I can carry adults almost comfortably in the back seats. With a full car I have embarassed mustangs, camarros, pontiacs, etc... not in straight line, but I live in an area with windy roads through hills. My car is still stock, though I had to replace the tires at 11000 miles. Can't wait to beef up the suspension and screw with some real cars, like RSX-S.
At the end of the day, after driving an RA since Feb, I am so happy I made this choice. You have to make your own choice, not listen to us. Do you want a sedan that drives like a coupe (sleeper), or do you want a coupe that drives like an RA sedan? Go drive them, since you're not paying up front- price is not the issue for you that it is for others, get the one that feels the best over all since you will be driving it for years. Do you live where stoplight to stoplight speed is important, or will most of your driving be open highway. Do you drive fast all the time, or just sometimes. Will you be paying your insurance and gas?
Sorry to get long winded on y'all.

Like I said, RA and RSX type s are not in the same category. Since you will pay nothing for it, I would go with the RSX. YOU have to decide what YOU want. A couple months after you get the car you will be very disappointed if you got something because it was "cooler" or had more horsepower. Get something you like to drive.

what? carbon products?
i think you need to DRIVE both cars and then make your decision.
i have an 04 ralliart and i absolutely love it but...i went to the acura dealership today and checked out an a-spec type s and it looked sooo sweet. its got like 36 more horsepower but less torque. i really like it...im gonna test drive it and if it drives as well as my ralliart ....i might think about making a trade in a year or two! there both great cars tho.
I looked at both these cars too. First I drove the RA and then the RSX Type-S. The RSX was faster but didn't handle as well, there is no back seat, it's more expensive, insurance is higher, and in my opinion the RA looked more sporty. After looking at everything the RA came with (mine having the sun and sound, spoiler, ground effects, ect.) I still would have had to put another $500-$1000 into the RSX to get it up to what the RA came with stock. I would say the RA is probably a better car for the money. If you want a faster car got for the RSX, or the SRT Neon. That is a fun car even if it is a neon. My girlfried just got a VW Golf VR6. 200hp, six speed, and hella fun to drive. Back seat isn't too bad either. Just my opinion though.
