I do feel that it has gotten alittle louder since the first day it was installed.. Im guessing that's normal or ive just picked up an ear for it.
In my experience, it gets louder as the piping/muffler heats up. The first 10 minutes or so of driving is quiet, deep rumble. After then, when I punch it (especially in the 3500-4500 rpm range) the thing screams, but stays deep!

Otter: when you first put your axel back on, did you notice a burning smell for a while?

also i love the exhaust note, it does seem kinda loud around 80ish, but i love it.

I put an exhaust tip on my stock RA muffler.. lol looks after market and everything. People always ask what kind of muffler it is but yea, hopefully i'll be getting the RRM axel back soon. Btw SlowRyd i do smell a burning smell coming from the rear of the car sometimes, never really knew what it was...

i figured it was just the new muffler burning of dirt in the pipes, after i about 500 miles on it the smell went away.

i got the 14829 Magnaflow, exact same one that RRM uses on the advice of Fifty who found that out for us (thanks Nick!!) and had a shop here do it. I got him to use stiffer hangers than he would normally have (had to pay an extra 10 bucks since they were better quality, big deal) and the think is perfectly centered too since I told him i would accept no less. he did a super job. dead center, no movement unless really reefed on. i love it. all said and done was about just under $250 (canadian of course, i'm in calgary), so pretty sweet compared to what RRM is asking for theirs.
yeah.
