Which pads do you recommend?

I just ordered the front and rear drilled/slotted rotors off ebay from r1concepts. Now im stuck between Axxis metal masters or Hawk brake pads. Which do you think i should go for and why? I unfortunately have never upgraded my brakes on any of my past cars so Im pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff. I have heard however that the metal masters are great, but make a crapload of dust.

just as an FYI, the ebay rotors are different than the ones R1concepts sell via the phone or PM on here, they are made in China. THe quality and the ISO standard are different. The ones he sells on here are made of a higher quality and better ISO standard and are made in canada. IF you can and if you care, get him to change your order by calling Dan at R1concepts. As for pads, are you looking for a high performance for autox or track? if yes, the best pad I've seen out is the Axxis Deluxe. For agressive daily driving or enhanced braking the Hawks would be ok as they might cause less dust.

I just want decent ones for the street, nothing aggressive, just something that i will recognize. Oh, and I am getting the ones from Canada, not from China, ive already talked to them about that.

HAWK all the way. Everyone I know that takes their daily driver to the track swears by them. They have excellent bite and little fade. They also don't exibit the typical squeel of most high performance brakes.

You'll love them, trust me on this.

I swear by the Axxis Ults, though they dust your rims really easy. I wash my car once a week, so it doesn't seem too bad by that time.

only thing with the HAwk is that they only have the pads for regular use. THey don't list any high performance pads for the RA

Yeah i noticed that as well. Im going with metal masters up front, what should i do for the back? Just use new OEM pads? Because axxis doesnt make a pad for rear disc.

Yeah, just OEM, not enough braking is done in the rear to warrant high-performance pads.
