Anyone know what's going on with ETACS Decoder? I have a bunch of tokens I paid for and find this software useful. Looks like they're shutting down on January 1, 2025. I can't find this post or the group on FB anymore and the website just has an endless loading gif/animation as of the time of this post. Sounds like there's an opportunity for it to be available to everyone. Anyone with insight would be appreciated.

Also, is there another program available that can do what ETACS Decoder can do available to the public? Thanks!

 

It sounds like owner can't or does want to pay for the server anymore.

I never used MMCodingWriter. I assume it's similar. Anyone with experience with MMCodingWriter?

 

I've played around with it, but yea it's a different layout from ED, but has all the same features more or less from what I can tell.

 

That's unfortunate, I just downloaded it. How does the program work? Does it not function until you send them crypto?

 

I would hold off. He is changing the server and should work without tokens soon.

 

I've been looking around for a substitute for the ETACS Decoder program mentioned earlier as I need to rewrite the VIN to my ECU. I've found MMCodingWriter2.1 and have attached it below. Not sure how similar it is to the program you where using before, hopefully, it helps.

 

Good shout, mate. Cheers for sharing that — finding a decent substitute after ETACS Decoder shutting down isn’t easy. MMCodingWriter2.1 looks promising though, especially if it handles VIN rewriting cleanly. It’s a bit like what’s happening in crypto — things move fast, but the market just keeps growing and getting more mainstream.

 

How's it working for you? I haven't had the opportunity to try yet.
