problem with tein basic coilover

i have a problem, i purchased a set of tein basic coilovers for my 06 ralliart, have them installed and set up as to the intstructions, the problem is when the car is stoped and i turn lock to lock i hear a creeking sound from the left front, i have narrowed it down to either the strut bearing or mount, i replaced the upper bearing and i still hear the creeking sound, i would like to know, has anyone had this problem, and if so what was the fix,, Wondering if you guys that have the tein basic coilovers could take the time and see if your car does the same,, maybe its the charateristic of the car,,, i'm losing my shirt tring to figure this out,,,, much appreciated,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

OKAY... Did you drop your car when had them installed? how low is your car? If it's dropped considerably it's just your wheel hitting against the wheel well.

thanks for the reply,,, i droped my about 1.2 or 1.5 inches... i ajusted it 3mm or 1.2 inches from the bottom of shaft as the instructions said then installed them on the car, i know the wheels not rubbing, my s-techs would rub,,,,not as low as s-techs, i can put the front end of the car up and turn the wheel lock to lock with the wheels off and can hear it, its like a creeking - tinking noise,,,

I think I know whats wrong with it. It is the little rubber thing the spring sits on, the creeking noise if from the spring hitting the metal(makes the noise when u hit bumps). just get the rubber thing put back under the spring, and that should do it.

their no noise when i hit bumps, just turning, can be at a stop and turn my wheel lock to lock is the only time i hear it,,, but you could have something, maybe if i put a piece of rubber on the top cap that fits on the top spring, maybe the spring is rubbing on the brass cap when turning,,, or i can spray some lube up their and see if noisr goes away,,,

I used to have Tein SS's... I think I know what's wrong. Figure out which wheel it's coming from and remove the coilover. Then check on the upper end of the strut, there's this silver metal perch. You might've put it upside down. I did that when I installed them on my 240sx and they did the exact same thing.

note: you're going to have to remove the stock strut/mount thing you re-used.

i know the perch is not upside down, cause the strut bearing goes on top of it, bearing only goes in one way, starting to think maybe its the springs creeking, different load on the spring at different angles when turning lock to lock,,, i sprayed the whole strut and spring last night, thismorning the noise quieted down abit, but you can still hear it , not as loud, i put them in on friday, maybe the spring needs to break in and loosen up, i'll wait a week and see if theirs a difference,

wtf... email whoever you got the coilovers from and ask them to give you a new one... they should'nt be making that kinda noise if everything's installed right.
