Just bought my first lancer :)
you dont have to heed this its just my opinion but dont go short ram youre not gonna see a huge difference. youll get more sound out of it than you will power. if youre lookin for better HP results i would go with injen cai
well this is the 2010 de, so its already comes with the gts side skirts. i already have plans on buying the air dams. like i said wheels will be coming some time in april/may. its winter and i live in iowa. stupid to buy them now. as for the intake, i want the short ram because i live in a heavy snow and rain area. in fact its sleeting right tis second. another thing to think about is generally the tube inside the engine bay leading to the manifold that carries the air, regardless sri or cai, will get hot and heat up the air going in anyways, of course the cai will supply cooler air to the engine than the sri, but there will be little difference with a 2.0l . the point of an intake is to rid the intake of all the resonators and blockages the hod up air from reaching the enine smoothly, and sri's and cai's both do that.
and thanks for the advise on the rrm modules. i read some good reviews so i assumed they were quality products. so if i skip on those and decide to go with the ecu flash, how do i get that done?
i don think i am going to put any CF on the car, not big on that stuff. and im not intested in dropping the car as of right now. because i dont want to deal with one day needing to roll the fenders. i don know how much that is but i cant imagine its cheap...

the ECU flash is a little differnt you have to mail your ECU off to them and they flash it and send it back. turnaround is about 3 days i've heard so you would have to be out of business for a weekend. but as far as tuning thats your best option. those others wont yield you anything.
dropping your car you should be fine, unless you go with anything smaller than some 18x8+30 wheels which are pretty aggressive for a lancer, you wont have any fender problems. especially with stock GTS wheels or standard 7.5 wheels that most people go with.
Congrats and welcome to the site!
Just a quick comment, but I see your upgrade list, you wlil get those things bought and installed, then want more, than want more and so on and so on. Eventually you'll have as much into the ride as that RX8 or an actual evo. Why not just wait it out?
Anyhow, best of luck, I dig the color and the mits status for sure!

^ this. in the end of your looking for performance i would drive a stock DE until i had the money to get something better. lancers just dont gain that much from bolt ons and such. all those parts combined is well over 2 grand.
yea i am well aware bolt ons dont add much to anything other than noise. which is actually what i am more the less looking for. but the ecu flash does sound like it would be pretty cool. where would i have to send that and about how much would i have to pay for that?
and in my opinion. a lancer will NEVER reach the capabilities of a rx-8 handling wise. anybody who has ever drivin one will tell you there a dream on wheels. dont get me wrong there about as fast as turtle off the line, but thats besides the point...
anywho, i decided i think i may turn around the upgrade list and start off with some nice 18x8 wheels and i am still deciding whether to go with the tien s spring kit or the rrm spring kit. after seeing lancers with those i realized stock they look like a mini van, and i want a more aggressive feel, i like feeling every bit of the road, im not driving a mercedes and i dont want it to feel like one. so which of those two will supply for more of a solid ride? also, what do the front strut bars do exactly? people say they make a difference but they only bolt on to one bolt of each strut i the engine bay... how does that make a difference?
