Very nice, except that it still doesn't include warranty info, which suggests that Mitsubishi is going to give the Ralliart the shorter Evo warranty (very bad). Also, it inexplicably fails to mention that the Ralliart isn't front-wheel drive... they may want to fix that in their final version, as 4WD justifies at least a small part of the increased cost. Nice to see they're not going with summer tires on the Canadian model, though I'm planning to get wheels and tires for winter regardless.

Is there an official Canadian MSRP posted anywhere yet? I haven't made it to the dealer and last unconfirmed word on the forum was $32 with navi

US warranties and Canadian ones are often the same, but sometimes they're bizarrely different -- this is a new model, and Mitsubishi Canada is a very young enterprise (even some media discussion of whether they'll be around much longer), so who knows what they'll do. My guess is we're in for the Evo warranty instead of the base Lancer one, which sucks.

So good news i received from my local dealer. Standard package includes recaro cloth seats as well as HID lights and taht runs at a price of 33K. Premium package is the nav system leather recaros 650w rockford fosgate and i think there are some other goodies there and it runs at about $38K. I dont know if this is the same throughout canada or just my dealer. But post up

obviously before TTL right? so we're looking at close to $38-39K OTD for base model, best case scenario.

E-mailed my local dealer today (cambridge mitsubishi), and this is the response i got.

"The MSRP for the ralliarts start at $32,998.00 plus options and frt, pdi,ac tax, gas tax etc and we will be getting some in. We would appreciate your valued business. If you are intrested in one, it might not be a bad idea to come and put a deposit on one so we can guarantee you one.thanks"

Looks like I may be going with a GTS or waiting until i find a used one. Not paying $33k when the evo is not much more. This will not sell very well IMO; too close of a gap between the two cars

EVO X are almost $42K Canadian base so I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion that the EVO is not much more.

My (Canadian) dealer claims that the Premium 2009 Lancer Ralliart "definitely" has an MSRP below $37k -- he says that was what Mitsubishi Canada told him, but he still doesn't have an invoice on my car. As with all vague sales info, take this with a huge grain of salt -- personally I'd be extremely happy with an MSRP of $36,998, but I'm expecting something like $38,498, despite my dealer's assurances.

Of course, all of this is before the various bogus charges that they lay on top of MSRP (destination, or whatever they call the main charge, etc.) -- and presumably also before the $200 or so they'll charge for orange paint.

My dealer here in Kelowna, BC wants $39683 for the RA premium package. Thats incl PDI and frieght, the one I ordered just showed up Tuesday (oct 7) They are not offering much in the way of finance options either. Standard rate is what I was told before walking out in price shock! which is quoted at 7-8% Lame. My desire for this car is fading fast. Should be PDI'd by tomorrow so I can take it for a rip. I have no doubt I will absolutely love it, but at what cost? a one year old STI would be pretty fun for that kinda money too don't you think?

Canadian MSRP (off official Mitsubishi documents at my dealer):

base 2009 Lancer Ralliart: $32,998

premium 2009 Lancer Ralliart: $37,998

The Canadian premium model includes everything, up to and including Recaros, navigation, and the 30GB hard drive system. It's actually listed as a package costing $5,000, so what I actually saw was the $32,998 list price and the charge for the premium 'package'. The destination-type charges are the same as on the regular Lancer.

There was an additional $160 charge listed for three of the paint colours (including blue), but not the orange -- think the page was probably just cut off, but I won't complain if I'm not on the hook for the paint charge they have in the US (for orange).

Hey man i live in Kelowna aswell! they told me finance was at 5.8%! That black one does look sexy tho. But coming in at $39K instead of the original $37 that was said is kind of lame. O well its not taht you need it, its that you want it. You only live once after all! Maybe ill go in and take the premium one :P.
