Beyond that, it implies horsepower at the WHEELS. No sport compact in the Ralliart's price bracket puts down 255 wheel horsepower in stock form.

Well i dont like shifting gears when driving cause 90% of my driving is in city traffic, i like to relax when i drive... but i love look of the 9....!

Arguing the price is fine, but people are really exaggerating the performance difference around here.
faster due to power breaking. Which is a standard technique on torque-converter equipped vehicles but your street 0-60 will not be that quick. I'd still like to test drive one for kicks when it comes out. The tranny is appealing and the main factor for the 27K price tag.

This isn't a torque converter equipped vehicle, and they admittedly were dropping the clutch at redline to launch the WRX, and probably the others as well.

C&D got a 5.5 0-60 for a Ralliart, with a 6.2 5-60 street start.

Just did a search on C&D's site, MS3 - 5.8 0-60, 6.7 5-60 street start. Although these numbers are from different tests. I hope they do a comparo soon with the RA, MS3, and updated WRX, tested at the same time (like R&T).

OMG! I go from one thread to a next and all i see u do is complain. U want advice? Sell ur 325 go to south coast mitsubishi and buy an X MR. If thats too much for u buy a 9 sell ur 325 and get the damn JDM auto tranny. And if thats not good for u then delete ur account here and sign up at www.bimmerforums.com and discuss how great ur automatic BMW is in traffic because no matter how much u look at the 9, its NOT gonna magically turn into an automatic. If u have nothin good to say about the new Lancers/Evos then u need not be on this site. Deuces.
