So you owe money on the GTS and they're covering that cost as well as the cost of the Ralliart for 30800$?

I thought the new Ralliart didn't have a nav option like the GTS did?

Yeah, owe $20200 on the GTS, so I'm upside down in it.. even if I got book, it would be $15ish.

Their price was $30800 out the door including paying off my 2008 GTS completely. Ralliart, without the recaro seats, but it has the hands free key which they like to call the tech package (includes bluetooth as well).

So yes, the dealership says they pickup GTS for 12-13k from auctions.. which I don't doubt - but I figured I'd ask here.

For my situation, do you think $30800 out the door is a fair deal for a new Ralliart?

Might have to call them tomorrow and ask about the $500 military rebate... they also used to offer an education discount at one time. May be able to get price under 30k tomorrow, we'll see.

Considering what you owe, that doesn't sound bad. Just to clarify, that is a non-package Ralliart, correct? At first you said it had it, but now you make it sound like it doesn't. If the one you are looking at has the package then that price is a steal considering what you owe on the GTS. If not, it's not a horrible deal, just not as good.

your gonna get killed with negative equity on that so when you trade in you`ll owe tons more on the RA than normal.

I went to a dealer yesterday in Port Richey and they had Ralliart with a sticker of 26, and change. Rotor Glow is the best color in the Florida sun! I could get one if I could get one for 24,000 OTD. I am going to test drive a Mazdaspeed3 today. This has 263 HP turbo. The guy gave me an internet price of 21,999. I really want a Ralliart, but may end up with a Mazda if I can't get any dealer to bite on 24,000 OTD. I can't justify payments of more than $330 per month. He did ask me if I wanted to test drive the Ralliart. I couldn't bring myself to do it. what is the point of falling in love with something I cannot have.
I'll let you guys know how the Mazda test drive goes today. I did test drive a 5 speed Lancer GTS yesterday. It was nice but really didn't blow my socks off. I want something fun to drive!

Just a base RA, with the tech package. This includes the hands free key entry and blue tooth, but does not include the navigation or recaro package.

What it basically comes down to is me paying the $27600 sticker price and financing tax + title + tags. Which is about $3200 added to the loan.

The book price on the 2009 won't be out until December 2009, so I have about a year to do bi-weekly payments to get the principal down to normal value if I ever plan on trading it in.

Sounds like I'm going to get screwed with the negative equity either way, but I have a feeling that the ralliart will hold its value better than a lancer GTS....

Today is the last day I can get a decent deal, come tomorrow - my lancer GTS will be worth even less cause of the new book price.

Hah... I'm just looking for opinions. Since people are getting these things for 24k out the door, it sounds like my sub $31k price is already 7k in the hole....

Maybe If I pushed for a recaro package and navigation I'll feel better.. but the the two Mitsubishi dealers (same dealership, 2 locations) doesn't have any with navigation. I was under the impression it didn't have a nav package until I did some research - the salesman told me they didn't even come with a nav package. Vultures will do anything to make a sale... heh.

Also forgot to mention that the $30800 price includes extended 7yr/100k bumper-bumper warranty, and gap coverage.

The package includes the Rockford Fosgate sound system which you have to have to upgrade to the NAV, the HID headlamps and of course, the Recaro seats. It does not come with the NAV system as part of the package. The package is the only option from the factory, although you can order dealer or port installed accessories such as the NAV system. If you purchase any accessories with the purchase of the car they are covered under the vehicle warranty as opposed to the parts warranty which is only a year, I believe. So NAV isn't part of that package, FYI.

Thanks - I called another dealership. They mentioned that they can install the nav system, mistu shipped them separate but they do come as an option.. just not pre-installed.

Options are factory installed, accessories are dealer or port installed...I know, I know, but I'm a tech nerd or maybe just a nerd, depends on who you ask.

Either more or less then E.Neil is saying or more like this based on my exp when i copped it.

The available packages are:
Package 1
Reacros, HID, RFord SS

Package 2
Navi
the way it's stated on site is:
40GB HDD navigation system (with an industry-first Diamond-Lane Guidance System, which navigates routes utilizing carpool/HOV lanes) • Mitsubishi Multi-Communication System • Digital music server function • 7" LCD touch screen panel • Auxiliary video input jacks

That's it. lol
It was layed out just like that when i purchased mine.

Navi package doesn't come with anything so why it's called a package is beyond me.
Just the features of the Navi itself is what they are using to call it a package.

Package #1 is the only 'real' one.

Anything else is an upgrade at cost.

oh yeah, don't forget the accessory package, which gives you, scuff plates, aluminum fuel door, and a stupid trunkmat(wow).

R/A shift knob and e-brake is an upgrade at cost each.

My salesman says he has no idea how anyone can make any money selling it for 4500 under invoice. The best he could do for me is 25,500. Still to much for me. Drove a Mazdaspeed3 today. 263 HP turbo for 22,000. Sorry Mitsubishi, but you just lost a customer. I was willing to pay more to get the Ralliart. I'd be crazy not to get the Mazda.
