So I had this girlfriend who broke my heart 10 years ago, and haven't seen her since, she left me for a schmuck and said I would never amount to much... out of the blue on Wednesday night (12/4) I felt like having a hot chocolate at DD's and took my new RA for a spin... GUESS who shows up.. walking out of the store in front of my car in the parking lot?!?

OH MAN, God is Good!

She was driving a busted black Probe...

Very nice cars!! I test drove a Ralliart and loved it. It had the Recaro package on it which for me would be a must. The transmission is amazing!! I thought about getting one but I think it's kind of a backwards step for me compared to my current car.

How is it a backwards step? You currently driving that 02 WRX (I love those ugly yet beautiful bug-eyed things)?

Well my car only has 59,445 miles on it.

Mod List
- BPM TT Turboback Exhaust
- APS Uppipe
- TXS TMIC V2
- Perrin Short Ram
- STi Hoodscoop
- Factory Painted Side Skirts
- Factory Rear Wing
- Rota Formel Wheels (Gold) with Toyo Proxes 4 tires
- Blitz DTT DC Turbo Timer with Digital Boost Gauge
- Prodrive Springs
- "I" Badge on Grill (Blue)
- 20% Window Tint
- Momo A/T Shift Knob
- STi Key
- OEM Subwoofer
- OEM Upgraded Speakers
- OEM Alarm System
- Racing Brake Rotors (Front and Rear)
- Carbotech Bobcat Pads (Front and Rear)
- Cobb Accessport Stage 2

Given the cost of all the mods and considering mine is hardly ugly ( ) it just might not be a good move to get a Ralliart. After driving the Ralliart I was close to getting an Evo MR which would be a nice upgrade to my current car but I don't wanna pay that much a month.

Oh and I'm not downplaying the RA at all. Like I said I loved the car and the transmission is truly amazing. I would buy one just to have that trans!!

I love this tranny. I've been driving stick shift for 9 years now. This is my first automatic car. If the car is going to suit your needs, you'll love it. I think this car would be great for you too. Since you didn't go hardcore on your WRX. You can rice (do your exterior) your car out first. Then, when all the secrets of the powertrain are opened you can mod for more power.

The car will be have similar insurance rates, but it could even be lower. The question is do you want another car note?

Nice ride
I guess it really comes down to how bad you want that trans, especially since both cars probably handle similarly anyways.

Just out of curiosity, have you had any problems with your subaru at all? Did you have to change any parts?

Thanks The only thing I ever needed replaced on my WRX was the radiator which was fixed under warranty.

Do the rear seats fold down in the RA?? That is one thing I hate about my car the seats don't fold down and it all my goalie gear is a tight fit.

Yup they fold down in the RA. They don't in the Evo due to chassis bracing.

This is one of the reasons why I chose RA over the X ..... even though I would love to have new X, its not too practical IMO.

Hey all I picked up my Octane Blue RA a couple weeks ago, up here in Canada. The EVO is my dream car, but for all practicality, the RA is all the EVO bits I would ever use, with some more benefits (like folding seats, better mileage).

likes:
fat torque that starts low
great handling and steering feedback
incredible AWD system that keeps the car going where I want it to go
Recaro seats are super comfortable and supportive. Big bolsters keep you in place in tight corners.
Heated seats and automatic climate control are great now that its winter.
bi-xenon headlamps work great, both low and hi HID
Quiet interior up to and including 140kmh.
TCSST is the bomb! All the benefits and feel of a manual, with the convenience of an auto. Sport mode is everything the mags say it is, and shifts are lighting quick. So nice to have engine braking in an auto!

dislikes:
rear wing blocks some of the view out the back. This will take some getting used to.
Fuel mileage is less than stellar (but so worth it!)
"All season" Dunlop tires are crappier than crap, especially with some light snow on the ground. Have snows on order, but damn Quebec got all the stock.

I don't think that color is even available in the US Can you post a pic? I would love to see it.

Also we don't get heated seats, HID's for low and high beam, and we get summer Yokohama tires and not all season Dunlops.

Wahhhh I don't know what to do
