you would think so,

dealer next to my house still has same 5 of 7 evos gsrs they bought in march (one of them they sold to another dealership) 2 mrs, 2 ralliarts.

they are willing to work some but want to make money and supposedly thre is still no dealer cash on these. if mitsu throws dc as well as additional 500-1000 of rebates instead of some lousy 0% apr on the table, they might move a few of these.

Your calling 0% APR lousy? I worked the numbers a bit and if you compare this rate to a typical 5.9% rate over a similar 60 month period the savings are almost $150 a month. If that's your definition of lousy I'll take it any day.

17mpg city!?!?!?! ARE you FU*ing serious? Im defiantly not getting one now. That is retarded gas mileage for how heavy and slow this is. Mitsubishi tried and failed on this one.

btw, heres another on ebay - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...=p4506.c0.m245

IM sorry but as great as it is that mitsu put AWD and Turbo on the ralliart. EVerything else about it makes the car lousy. You would have to be blind not to see that its a horrible value for what you get. If it was $23,000 it would be passable. And for gods sake the customer who wants the ralliart, 99% of them want a manual, so for mitsu to not offer that is them shooting themselves in the foot.

The WRX gets 18 MPG city. A Legacy GT gets 18 MPG city. The GTI gets 22 MPG city, but it's FWD. If you want an AWD turbo car, you're going to have to deal with ****ty fuel economy. If you don't like the Ralliart, don't buy one -- I don't think anyone here cares if you go get something different.

Ok and? you're a real world driver...the 17 MPG report for the Ralliart is based on a magazine's "real world driving" numbers. Let's see what the Ralliart averages in the hands of an actual person on the street before we judge.

This forum is continually full of people comparing apples to oranges.

the demand for the ralliart is a lot less then the demand for other well knows cars, like the wrx or ms3, with the economy in the toilet right now, since noone knows what the hell a ralliart is they have to price it higher cuz they know fewer people are going to buy them.

But demand and supply would dictate that they should price it lower since demand is lower... If they dont drop the price now they will sit on dealer lots until dealers get desperate and sell the cars cheap or return them to mitsubishi... Also if they dont get enough of these on the road it hurts their marketing efforts due to lack of visibility... People dont like buying cars that other people wont buy...

not to start an argument, but i am not sure where you get your#s but on a 2009 gallant ralliart with msrp 28K, which is already higher than base lancer ralliart, with ZERO down, so worst case scenario, 5.9% for 60 monts yields 539 for monthly, same car, same period with 0% interest 466. So correct me if i am wrong, but thats a difference of 73US and not 150 like you said.

anyways, i do agree, with that thought process, you are saving about 840usd per year x 5 years that pretty darn nice.

i think i was thinking more of up front rebates

a 09 WRX has 35 MORE horsepower. a Legacy GT is 400 LBS Heavier. a GTI is about the same speed as a N/A Ralliart.

You do know the Legacy GT is about the same weight as a Ralliart, or perhaps fractionally lighter, correct?

Also, Cars.com shows a 0-60 of 8.2 for the '06 Ralliart, and a 0-60 of 7.6 for the '07 GTI, although I would argue that both of these cars are probably faster than the number provided.

If you look under the number 17 on the MPG right on the sticker, there is small print, stating that normal drivers are averaging 14-20mpg in the city.
And if you look under the 25mpg for hwy, it states an normal average 20 - 30 mpg..

So you can more MPG out of it, conservatively.
A reflash can help and probably an ECU tune.
