Then lets actually take the RA on some curvey roads like it was designed for. Youll be fist pumping and heel checking till your limbs fall off.

Drive the GSR and MR back to back. Manual is for strip launching. SST is for slinging it around.

And yes a human can shift faster if done perfectly and during straight forward acceleration but its not likely you can repeat that methodically like an SST can under heavy braking or other race like conditions.

The 5 spd isn't stone age, it's traditional for any sports car. I love the idea of the SST but they both have their advantages so I wouldn't start shootin on one or the other just because you have a Ralliart with SST. Plus, what tranny in the end is going to be able to get more power? I don't care though, i'm getting the SST too.

Take the SST to a track, while you're waiting for your transmission to cool us "stone agers" will be lapping you.
Nice car, I really like how the Ralliart looks, it'd be nice if they gave it a bit more juice and a stiffer suspension with wider tires.

The R/A should be in an isolated comparison. The car has a great chance at the track but you need to get the brakes, suspension and grip taken cared of first.
Don't compare this car to Evos or the 09 WRX's blah blah blah.
The car is great as a standalone classed vehicle.
SST would be great on the track but you have to make sure that in the R/A's case you have to prep it properly for it.

And to ROBEVO RS, the SST CAN win a race for anyone. If you know how to drive you can do some serious damage to other racers machismo even with some owners who have great performance cars.
Shocked you would even utter anything like that.
The R/A does need to be prepped.
Stock, it isn't ready for "LIGHTNING LAP" times but it can hold as a standalone performance vehicle.

nice congrats on ur ride!

but darn it, the gas mileage is the only thing keeping me from getting either the EVO or the Ralliart (the evo cuz of the price also lol). I'm already taking a beating on my wife's ES-Sport. $40 bucks every 4 days to fill it up (that's almost 300 bucks a month... a second car's payment) and that's now cuz we're getting gas at 2.85 in south FL (not the ridicule 4.00 bucks of 2 months a go)

but 15 mpg on the street!?!?!??!

Dude, if you're really willing to save gas, i'm sure a change of air filter will help out and driving the speed limit(when you don't NEED to go fast) will help out a lot. I have an 08 Lancer GTS and I get about 26 mpg or higher just going the speed limit in the city(I don't have any mods, not even a filter, except for my exhaust).

Yeah, I take that whole " curvey thing" back. The RA needs some meat on those wheels.

Furthermore -

DO NOT ASSUME THE ACS WILL KEEP YOU IN CHECK!! Ive gotten that thing sidways or 180'd in the Dry/Sunny and in the Wet/Cloudy with the ACS on. Lets not even talk about it in the OFF position. Seriously, ive been completely sidways, wheels spinning and the dash light comes on saying "hey buddy, hows it going, as you have probably realized by now, we are not heading in your original intended direction. Do you want me to do something about it or are you good? Uh, Oh never mind you got us straightened back out."

what did you do that you ended up sideways? Yeah, the stock yokohama's suck and that's why the Ralliarts pulled worse number than the GTS in both lateral g's and slalom speed....

Ouch. I'd think the Ralliart would get better than that, I imagine that is about what the Evo is getting and that makes a bit more sense. Those numbers (except the average) are about what I get with an H6, and what I got with the old VIII. I guess weight and wind resistance really do make a big difference... You'd think with the gas problems these days that that is something all the companies would work on. Seems like 15-18/22-26 is pretty standard among the sportier cars.

The auto-manual transmissions are getting better and better though, that can't be argued. Still, if I had my choice between the two (auto-manual, manual) I'd choose manual. It may save time to have the auto-manual option, especially with paddle shifters... But I feel so much more in control with the manual. And I drove a lot of different auto-manuals when shopping around last year.

LMFAO. That's hillarious. Though I am also a little surprised you managed to get it sideways. If oversteer > understeer than RA > Evo X. Unless I'm missing stories of the X not understeering in stock form.

This is probably why insurance rates run higher on these types of cars. WOW.
