A lot of guys were getting 08's for 28-29. They were 7k off sticker with 63 months zero percent. Most were about 30k though.

That's misleading as it is 08 STI inventory that Subaru was clearing out and very few were actually going for $28K. Try getting an 09 for that price.

I even think the stock seats suck in the RA. They hit in all the wrong places.
I am 30 and I have no problems with the seats. They just take a little but to get use to of getting in and out.

Of course, if you live where it snows and have more than one car, then anything goes. Some of us prefer to sink our money into one car.

As for used cars, that's not a good idea anywhere they use salt, unless you enjoy the thought of ending up with a crappy rust-bucket -- if you buy a car new and take proper care of it, then rust isn't generally a problem.
i live in minnesota, plenty of snow and salt. all my cars have been used. no rust on any of them, even my 97 diamante. rust isn't caused by salt it's caused by not taking care of your vehicle. oh yeah i park outside as well.

yeah awd is great in the winter, though i've never had any problems with any of my fwd cars in the winter. good tires> snow and ice.

Sorry -- that's what I meant -- buying used is far more risky where salt is used, because you don't know what kind of care the previous owner took of the vehicle. Assuming you only consider cars that aren't rusty, that still leaves a very wide spectrum of care by previous owners.

In the past decade and a half, I've been in two major single-vehicle accidents caused by loss of traction on ice, both in FWD cars with all-seasons. Neither accident was caused directly by loss of traction -- both were the result of fishtailing that simply wouldn't have happened with AWD; I'm not sure that snow tires would have helped much on ice.

Because you drive one and it's so exciting that you post here all the time even though you hate Mitsubishi and their vehicles?

what does BMW do different from mistru that enables the BMW brand to be highly respected and command a higher price..??? please be honest.

I drive a "low end" BMW (cause i cant afford an X-MR) and though it is not a performance car, it is built waaayy better than 95% of mitsus... That is not magic at all its a choice BMW made which is why their brand is respected. I want mitsu to make the same choice and so do you.
