i think silicone piping is less prone to holding heat as compared to aluminum so i guess you could be getting slightly colder boost, but as to any definative advantages or disadvantages im not sure.

i dont see many cars utilizing silicone IC pipes so maybe that is an indication that you should stick to aluminum.

The problem with silicone hoses though is they can leak, crack or collapse. Generally speaking, there isn't much of an advantage going from stock to silicone.

If you get the whole pipe in silicone. There will be more boost response. Just because it doesn't expand as large as the stock hoses.

the silicon hoses are much more stronger then your stock ones. Resist for heat more and more durable. Also smoother so flows better. They not expand as the factory hoses and they are light.
Because they dont expand they will hold the boost better. You will get better throttle respond .
They a re good add ons. Much like the aluminum ic piping. Samco makes awesome products. Even the WRC cars use them
Also the silicon is almost last forever.

Yeah silicone doesn't expand like stock rubber hoses and is more durable. Another advantage and possibly the biggest is that for each run you eliminate two possible leak points over using aluminum or stainless piping as couplers are not required.
