The camshaft timing on the 4b11t (evoX, R/A engine) is dynamically adjustable (in the sense that the ECU can control it). The current map (basically the instructions on when/how much the ecu will adjust them) that is loaded into the ecu is not so great. With a better tuned map (like the one GST has made), it's possible to squeeze out a nice chunk of additional power throughout the rev range. This is on top of all the rest of the power you can gain from a tune.

Its true! Intake and exhaust cam timing are completely configurable in our flashes. They are optimized for the best spool up and power on the Ralliart. While the gains are noticeable for sure, they are not as dramatic because of how quickly the Ralliart enters boost.
