That doesn't make any sense to me though. That's like saying that lifting 1000 lbs with a machine is better for your muscles than lifting 1000 lbs with free weights, it doesn't how you do it, if you exceed the muscle's ability, you're going to damage it.

You're right, but only if there was a physical mechanical problem... But there is nothing that indicated that "torque protection" was due to failure or slipping on any mechanical part, but rather activated via software.

You can use SAE correction for different weather conditions and altitude is not very significant in turbo applications. But different types of dynos, yeah, that matters alot. In any case, 265-275 ft-lbs at the wheels is pretty good for a car that comes stock with 254 ft-lbs at the crank. I could definitely live with that. Especially, if it can be held long enough to get some good increases in hp for hauling that fat boy around.

You don't want to do that... If you're going to flash your ECU, the zchip would be unnecessary, if not dangerous.
