Hold onto metal when exiting the car. You wont get shocked.

Happens to me too from time to time. Holding metal when you get out is a good tip. I'll try that next time.

I get shocked when getting out of every vehicle I've ever had in my entire life. It's just how dry climates go. New or old... I've even been shocked by my motorcycle.

Be cafeful stepping out of your car to fill your gas tank. That static shock might just ignite the fumes!!! hahaa. I get shocked all the time too w/o Recaro seats. I just ground myself to the door.

I used to get shocked all winter long with my Protege and it's synthetic cloth seats, but for some reason I haven't felt a single shock since I got the Ralliart (several months of mostly very cold and dry weather) -- here in Canada, the Recaros are leather-cloth, though.

It's natural; that's static that builds up in your body depending on the humidity and as you rub your *** (like zweetz32 said) in the car seats

Try closing the door with your butt and perhaps you won't get shocked

I just got in the habit of having my calf against the sideskirt when I step out of a car. Grounds you to the car thus no shock.
