For filters, OEM filters are actually pretty cheap (about $5-$6), and are nice filters. I just order those a 6 or 12 at a time as I need them.

k&n 1004 worked nicely thanks to previous post... a bit expensive...where you order your oem filters from

I just changed my oil, but used a K & N 1010, not a 1004. Advance told me a 1010 would fit and it did. I believe the 1004 is just slightly wider.

I see now, we are about to get dumped on with snow up here in CT. I am gonna go to the dealership for the oil change because its the first one and all. What kinda oil do you run as far as synthetic goes.

I was thinking Mobil 1 or even Castrol Syntec. Could we even run Royal Purple?

www.mitsubishiparts.net

They don't have their 09 parts list up yet, but if you contact RusselM, either via PM or his forum section, he can get the part number for you.

The oil filter should be the same as the earlier models.

Royal Purple's oil isn't all it's cracked up to be. Mobil 1 is a great oil for most. If you want to go above and beyond, then Amsoil is the way to go. But really, IMO, Mobil 1 is the best bang for buck in oil.
