Toronto area flash?

Anyone doing flashes in the Toronto area? I know nothing about doing this myself, I can't have my car down to send ECU in (I wouldn't want to or know how to anyways lol). I have never done anything to any of my previous cars, so I don't want to start working on my new toy myself.

I was wondering. How much does this cable cost $ and where can I get it from? Also I wanted to know if you can do this from your own computer. I have a laptop at home can I just hook it up and do this directly?

Also i just had a flash done from my dealearship last week with regards to hard starts. I was wondering if they can now tell I have gotten a performance flash ( for modded reasons) since did the very first one my car.

I emailed Ultimate Racing, asking if they did flashes or knew of anyone who does them. Their reply was:

"Sorry, we do not offer any tuning services here. We are strictly a parts manufacturer."

Guess I'm out of luck for now, unless I do it myself.

Hey Man,

Stay tuned I hear that AMS is sending out laptops from their shops out to where you live with the flash programme in it. All you have to do is put a deposit for the laptop ( which is refundable upon return of the laptop) You hook it up to your car in the garage and follow the instructions to tune it yourself!

Peeerfect for guys who do not want to mail out their ecu's.

the cable is like 169 USD the website is www.tactrix.com, and yes you should be able to hook it up on you laptop, you just need the software, but im not sure which one it is whether its Evoscan or Ecuflash software.

The dealership can if they wanted to look in to it, but most don't look deep into it

Even more perfect, just buy the tactrix cable, AMS will email you the flash, and you can falsh it yourself, and if the dealer flashes your car for new updates, and your AMS flash is gone, then you can reflash it yourself back.

That more apeeling to me. I was skeptical in send my ECU away to have it flashed. And the tactrix cable and flashes by email would be awesome.

Has Chris AMS confirmed any more information on this?
