um i did not in any way bash them. I voiced a concern i had with the tune. This is what a forum is for, to get information about issues with the car and see if anyone else had the same issue. If i didnt get a response like i said above about them letting me know that there is some progress going on with my tune, isnt that like leaving me in the air??And no it hasnt happened YET.
^ exactly, we are consumers. We can voice our opinion/problems if anything is wrong. It was our hard earned money.
Companies shouldn't get defensive, instead they should deal with the problem promptly and answer any questions in a timely manner, to secure future business.

I kind of wish I went with with the zchip even if it may be having problems. Not sure if losing the warranty was worth the tuning with no mods in the car :\ my fault for not doing research. damn.
Really? Glad to hear that. Was debated here at the office and one person claimed he was certain it does.
Google and dealers seem to say it does (depending on how lenient the dealer is)

Yes it does void the warranty. You are tampering with the ECU. If your engine is damaged and the dealer finds out that you have altered the ECU, then he will void the engine warranty on the damaged parts of the engine. Since the ECU controls the behavior of the engine, then it is very easy for the dealer to claim that changing the ECU data damaged X part in the engine.

If you cannot, then you are not adding any accurate information to this thread.
What I found online is claims that some dealers with check if the ECU was touched before doing any work on it and if it was they wont touch it at all regardless of the problem. But that is just word, and I dont expect to have problems. Just wondering.
On a side note, are there any intakes that are blessed by mitsu?

Are you guarantying this then? That if someones car you flashed gets voided because of flash you'll cover costs? I'm not saying you're wrong, I just find it hard to believe that a car manufacturer wouldn't be smart enough to cover their asses for someone changing something so critical as a ECU. Can you post your source please. Thanks (You will make alot of Ralliart people VERY happy if this is true)

But in general is seems people's response from dealers were either they wont touch the car or they will turn a blind eye to it.
I am going to fire off some emails to the mitsu dealers around here and ask them about flashed ECUs and how they deal with them and how warranties are effects. Problem is I will probably get answers from people who have no idea and just assume it voids them.
