I just got a letter in the mail saying the ralliart is being recalled... anyone else get this letter?

they are recalling my hood latch. as of now. going to see what's up

ya i got the hood latch one too, whew no need to "flash" ecu

 

i didnt get any letters (or threw it away)....but I called that 1-888 Mitsubishi number and they told me I have 2 recalls, the hood latch one and the vacuum booster valve

 

Think they will check the ECU on either of those 2? Just called and Sports Mitsu in Orlando are ordering the parts of the recall.

 

Correction: they called right back and said they actual just got the parts in. Got an apt to get them replaced today. Heres to hoping they don't get fishy.

They already accused me of modding stuff because factory clips melted off the cold in air intake. When I was there getting them replaced they kept muttering stuff to me like "i dont know who you got working on this..."

I got one yesterday about the Hood Release Cable, saying that the EVO X and RalliArt cable may corrode and seize, they redesigned it and are going to replace them. Didn't get one on the Booster check valve or hood Latch.

 

Yes Sir, Ralliart 09 and Evolution 08 are being recalled for a hood latch release cable exchange. Free of charge

If you own a Ralliart you should be getting your letter in the mail soon

 

haha. yeah hope that is all they do to it. anyone know what they do in a service check up, my light came up 1k miles before it's suppose to... i think they are just trying to get money out of me making me come in early

what i'm reading in the letter is they should only be touching the latch/cable, not any other part of the car imo

either way, hope they don't check the ecu

 

They didn't check the ECU. However, its not a very simple swap. I was the first one at the orlando dealer to have the cable replaced and it took him about 1.5 hours. He said the cable runs through a large portion of the car and that it was a pain in the *** to replace.
