Has anyone else noticed that the car rolls backwards on hills only if your foot is slightly depressed on the brake? I've noticed it's only like that, i can have it not on the brake and it won't do it, obviously it doesn't move if brake is depressed enough.

Is there something i don't know about cars here or is this something with the TC-SST?

ya mine does that. my DSG in the GTI did it too. though as much.

The DSG IMO is a crappy over engineered POS. tho the ralliyarts tranny has yet to been proven.

Im pretty sure its just the nature of the dual clutch. I think it would make sense that the tranny is disengaged while the break is on because of the way the transmission works.

Yes, iam pretty sure the clutch engages while the break is pressed at a stationary position w/o touching the gas. Kinda why you get the roll back on hills like a manual.

^you are all right The transmission does catch itself (brake itself) on non-steep hills. I have been in a very steep parking garage & had the car roll back & not catch though.

Another interesting thing, is how the transmission rolls forward, like an auto at points, on ever so slight hills. But can stay completely still, like a standard manual, on completely flat surfaces.
