alrighty. good news is, sportbacks hit the lot today. bad news it theyre not for sale. apparently theyre all corporate cars, either for executives' personal vehicles or demo events. either way they still needed to get PDIs done before they could be sent out to whomever, so i still got to play with one for a bit since test drives are necessary to make sure everything works .

they are pretty much the same as the new model sedans only with the extra cargo room. all have the updated interior pieces, even the base models with the fwd and stick shift included.

ralliart trim is only offered in sst of course, and it seems like they softened the shifts a bit in sport mode, but it may just be me. other than that, its pretty much the same as ours. still light gray rims...ugh. oh, and the chrome ring in front comes in two pieces now and on the ralliart, the rear floor doesnt drop for that extra cargo room like the base models. it looks like it should according to the tabs on the spare tire surround, but there is no slipdown cutout and the tire sits too high cause of the rear diff. if that sounds confusing, it is very hard for me to explain and im looking right at it. but know that the base models have that extra floor drop for cargo and the ralliart doesnt. oh well, still more room than the sedan

personal opinion is that they look really sweet and are much better in person. they sit a lot lower than i expected too, with a slight drop like rrm offers these things would look totally slammed and sick as hell. i really like it, but not enough to get rid of mine, to each their own i suppose tho

not worth it right now man... at least not to me; that would be a bad investment; keep ur RA for 2-3 more years and wait for a new Evo release somewhere around 2012 probably?... the RA looks and acts pretty damn good how it is right now and It could very well last an extra 3 years from now without looking outdated-

I'm not spending any more money on cars until something completely new from Mitsu comes out... kinda like this:

That or move to the competition... prolly a bimmer, a subbie, a porsche, a lambo.. who knows

That looks nice. I bet the controller is different to try and replace the LCD. Would need to probably get hardware replaced which means $$$$$

I don't mind my orange since i have a rotor glow 09 and i will be putting in orange interior lights next week. It is all gonna pull together.

For the dude that works at the Mitsu dealership as a tech, my dealership is pretty honest with me and bent over backwards to get me the car.

I have been asking about what will void, and what won't, and they have been straight up with me. I am very honest guy and appreciate at least a modicum of integrity. I will of course return the integrity.

They also know about AMS (cause of the EVO's they get) and they said AMS does great work. That was comforting to hear that from my Mitsu dealership service department.

I will see you soon AMS!!!

Mitsu's own EVO literature features quotes from AMS on the EVO's new engine and the fact that the old one could hold an insane 1000 Horses when tuned, but that the new aluminum engine block couldn't. But, that still didn't keep AMS from saying it was an improvement over the original.

"...the new aluminum engine block couldn't."... yet! lol. ams is always doing big things and their sleeved block is holding up quite nicely with what its got so far. looking forward to seeing it just keep getting better and better.
