in theory that would be the best way to approach this.

And the other thing to consider is heat. At higher altitudes, and can set to run 21 psi will run 21 psi regardless, but at sealevel where the oxygen is more available it takes alot less work to create that 21 psi, thus creating less heat.

There are psi altitude scales all over the internet that show the transparency from one to another.

From my personal experience, my 2005 ion redline (supercharged) on a 2.6 in pulley would push 17.8 max psi in edmonton alberta (3200 ft altitude). When i moved to the coast and lived right at sea level, without changing the car in anyway shape or form, it produced over 20 psi max.. sometimes 22. I know that a sc is different from a turbo, but it shows the difference in available oxygen in relation.

^ I agree with posting the #s you got, but I was trying to understand and make sense as to why people wouldn't want to post them or run their cars period in different conditions. I have only ever ran cars in Florida so I didn't get it at first :P

a simple correction similar to dyno correction would solve this.

indeed. but hey, when ppl run bad times they always got one excuse to make them look faster. No offense to anyone on here of course lol.

secondchase: Edmonton is at an elevation of 2200 ft., not 3200 ft.

You have an exhaust and boost pill don't you?

We need to help you get that RA above a timeslip proven 100mph though

As altitude increases, a turbo has to work harder (ie. spin faster) to make the same boost pressure. This results in more heat which reduces power and you can actually shift the turbo out of it's ideal operating range (which again, hurts power).
I hope to god it's obvious to everyone that those two drivers are crap, a bone stock STI should be able to run faster than a 14.X. Given that you say 05-06 STI though (which look completely different), I suspect you may have raced non-STI WRXs.

Good runs man; You would've done much better with the right launch though... no need 2 babysit the SST, that thing it's perfect and it'll never break </sarcasm>

anyways... I hope that was not an STI but a WRX Poser, cause things like that upset the STI owners (low 14's on a car that runs low 13's bone stock dang...)
