Update...
Made the fiberglass mold. Kinda tore up the plug (prototype) when I pulled them apart. Sanded them smooth and then created the cover. Its 6 layers and about 1/8 in thick and strong as hell. I used FG cloth then 3 layers of FG mat and then 2 more layers of cloth. I have to fab up some mounting brackets since i had to cut off the originals to remove the plug. Still a little ways from the finished product.
