Arrow No cruise control in manual mode?

Is it just me, or do the cruise control buttons not work when you have it in full manual mode?

Was driving it in full manual mode and sports mode and the cruise control set button seemed to have no effect.

This means I have SPORT--->NORMAL then put it into fully automatic D and then engage the cruise control. If I put it in fully automatic D from manual mode when it is in sport the stupid thing will down shift into 5th gear and rev high as hell.

There is something strange with that. I have been able to engage cruise control in manual on occasion, but other times, for some strange reason, it doesn't engage.

Cruise control doesn't engage in SPORT mode. ECU says, NO.
I don't ever use cc anyway, doesn't bother me.

I think cc only works with manual or auto in normal.

I will try it in normal mode 2moro.

Annoying.

I guess they don't want people putting it in cruise in 5th gear doing 70mph+ on the highway at about 4000rpm+ - but us Ralliart owners know better than to do this right?

What's the point of being in Sport mode AND cruise control? I don't see a problem.

lol +1

It kind of negates the purpose of being in cruise control if your in sport mode and vice versa.

From what I have experienced I was able to engage the cruise control on auto & manual mode but the SST was set on normal, but I have never tried it on sport mode though.

It will only work in normal auto or manual. CC is the gas sipping, protect the environment, I'm to lazy to hold down the gas peddle opposite of sport. so it only makes sense.

Well, it might be a problem for people with some sort of rapid bipolar disorder, but for most of us it sounds insane to want to drive aggressively and lazily at the same time.

On a related note, I've noticed that it's hard to get the transmission to shift into sixth gear when I drive on the highway with the emergency brake fully engaged

You just need to give it more gas.

With a AWD vehicle and the handbrake on, it will heavily oversteer?

In theory, the RA should understeer because it would be acting like a FWD.

As far as sport vs normal... does either matter when the car is in manual?

Yeah shifts are quicker and it "slips" the clutch less by applying pressure quicker to the wet plates.
