Whack!!! wtf

So I get home and I see that my upgraded bov kit is in so I get all excited and I install it no problem less then 10 minutes!!!

Boom I get in my car and I get it some trottle and no psssh!! sound.
So I'm like Okkk... maybe I need to step on it alittle more so thats what I did and still no sound. I even tried to take the air duct off so I can get more air and still no pssshhh!!! sound. I do hear it but it sound like the stock plastic one WTF!!! I know I didn't install it wrong. Has anyone else bought the EVO 9 bov kit and have the same problems. I know this bov is recommended for a reason but geezz I didn't know it was gonna be so shy. Some one help please.

why did you get the evo 9 bov for a ralliart? what kind of BOV is it? Also, bov venting to atmosphere is horrible for your car. You should have done some research.

silly Ralliart owners...

If it is installed correctly, then its doing its job. Its an upgrade for boost holding capacity because the stock Ralliart valve is plastic.

If you want the vroom vroom pshhht sound, then you should have bought an SRT-4.

The evo 9 bov is a recirculating one as well. I'm using it. I don't believe you're going to get any noise until you upgrade you intake air filter or get an aftermarket intake.

SRT-4 I don't want that!!!

Well I had a TurboX aftermarket bov and I heard pssssh all day but the car ran like ****. I thought I would get the best of both worlds with the evo 9 upgrade kit.

It's the intake that makes the noise

This. Aluminum pipe intake will generate the most pshhh noise. Drop-in filter will make more noise than stock filter.

But srs...there's more to a turbocharged car than it's pshhh noise...kill the ricer in you now, beat him down with an ugly stick or something. You'll thank me later.

Another case of someone buying mods which they have no idea what its for.

just makes no sense to me.. someone buying parts just to add a noise?

Yeah, its recommended for people running higher boost then the stock one can hold, not for sound. If you're not planning to do so you have wasted your money.

Try one of those whistles for your exhaust tips, those are baller if you are just looking for noise. You can actually buy a little speaker that goes under your hood to makes the "pssshh" sound as well, iam sure you can order it from japan so its JDM..... BALLER!!!!

Also if your first mod is an upgraded bov, you sir are a fool.

evo 9 bov does not vent to atmosphere, so no noise. intake will make it more noticeable but it still won't sound like ones that vent to atmosphere. evo 9 bov is used to hold more boost, not make noise.
