nav unit come from factory in RA

Hey guys,

i have an 08 gts right now with the sun and sound package as well as technology package. absolutely love the nav unit in it. im looking to get into a Ralliart and want the nav system however on the mitsu website you are not able to build the 2010's with the nav package. i was wondering if it was an option in 2009 that came installed from the factory? i talked to a salesman at the mitsu dealer but as usual he didnt know anything he was saying. Also, if it wasnt an option that was offered, how much would it run me to buy one and have it installed. could a dealer do it? and if so, would it void my warranty?

That's weird, I'm getting my 2010 this spring, and it comes with the rockford satnav thingy.
The only reason they would be dumping the satnav is if they would upgrade it to the FUSE system, as they are doing with the Outlander now.

No, It's a dealer installed option. It should be available for a 2010 if you want it. Just work that out with your dealer. Yes, you can order and install the Nav system by yourself. It's very easy. If you do it by yourself you do run the risk that if anything electrical goes wrong with your car Mistu could blame you and not warrant any electrical defects.

get the 2010 and get tell them to get you the navi package from parts dept. and to throw it down in the whole enchilada with the loan, and tell them you'll install it yourself... when you're done come back to the forums and we'll help you install it

the point is you don't want to cash in 2,000 bucks for the navi, you want to throw it in your total loan amount (ideally, i'd rather pay the 2k cash than paying extra interest down the road)... get back here and we'll help u out install it, it wont void ur warranty, and the navy will still have local mitsu-dealership warranty.

remember, it wont void ur warranty as long as u dont screw something else... so the idea is to unplug the battery before you deal with anything electrical in your car

When you sell/trade-in your GTS, take the OEM Navi with you. Swap it into the RA. Then put the Stock HU into your GTS, lol.
