Im lookin to tune my RA. I have my AFR at 14.8 and same when i punch it, but sometimes it stays in like 12.8 for a bit.. then goes back to 14.8 ..my friend told me i gotta tune it... (he got an evo x)
which tunner should i gowith?? AWD or Machine gone Wild.??

so far my RA Mods:

UR Intercooler
UR Pipping (full upper & lower)
UR Long Downpipe
UR Ceramic HFC
DC Full catback
Evo 9 bpv
*Got my UR SRI (but havent install it.. waitin for tune)( Also, I am kinda adding a elbow couplet to it.. like a 45* angle, so it can be away from the heat since its really far back close to the turbo.. n ****..... n addin a costume heat shield to it. hopefully is better in a way.)
*AMS Boost pill (waitin for install as well...)

now question is.. should i go with the boost pill or get a boost manual controller?

Electronic Boost Controler :]! And a different wastegate, those two together on a stock turbo should definately get you close to 275 / 275

Correction, DO NOT GET a manual boost controller.
badreligi0n is talking about a 3-port, not a shinny little box that flashes and looks pretty, while f-ing up your ish.
A 3-port on the stock RA turbo doesn't make that much of difference, maybe a hair more boost on the top end; BUT it can help with controlling a more aggressive style of boost spool. An upgraded boost pill will be perfectly acceptable.

Mhmm, the biggest thing also with the upgraded EBC and wastegate is you dont see it, but our stock **** sucks donkey nuts.... lol the boost fluxuates so much on the stock stuf but isnt graphed or picked up as much as it does fluxuates. SO upgrading these components helps create more constant power :] (Trust me i noticed a HUGE difference when i upgraded mine and im even on the Evo X turbo...)

No it is not, one dumps compressed air, the other dumps exhaust gases.

That's the only reason that you notice a difference. The Ralliart turbo doesn't flow enough for a stiffer wastegate to matter.

Save your money. If you are on the stock RA turbo, A wastegate actuator or 3 port is just wasted cash.

Last April I bought and installed a 3-port when I was still on the RA turbo. It cost me $250 for a re-tune and I got 2whp (you MUST re-tune for a 3-port, don't even think otherwise). Just so that I can sleep at night, I tell myself "it was preemptive for the X-Swap"
