that's not a big deal that the ralliart beat him...he can't drive. both cars are slow. that GSR with a good driver should have easily beaten that 13.6. good thing there weren't any IX's lurking around. both of them would have been blitzed.

Why is it shocking that a modified car that's easier to drive in the hands of a potentially better driver beat a stock car with a not so good driver? You can find videos on Youtube of Civics stomping on Evos, Corvettes, etc.

 

Its shocking that a modified RA, with a driver that passed out at go time actually overtook the GSR in the 1/4. I didnt post this because its some amazing video you have to see...I posted it because number 1, this is a RA forum, number 2, bad drivers or not, its gives RA drivers a good idea of what they can expect with those mods, number 3, because I thought it was cool. Take it for whats its worth, could help out those guys that are considering getting similar mods. Knowing that the RA fell asleep at start and still got mid 13 at 101 says alot.

13.6 with those mods = exactly what you saw here... no launch.

 

i think i get what the point of this thread is. how NOT to drive your Ralliart or EVO X at the track. Or, how to embarrass the entire EVO/Ralliart community at your local test and tune.

 

I'm amazed that those mods put that RA in at the 13.6 mark. Makes me happy because I'm installing my UR intercooler and piping this weekend!

How does it give Ralliart owners an idea of what to expect when you yourself admit they're bad drivers?

 

Well Rotor Glow seems to appreciate it. If you can run a 13.6 at 101, with that start, he didnt really launch or spool up turbo, with those mods, it gives you an idea, if logic comes into play, what those mods are capable of compared to stock. I thought the video was appropriate, being that RA owners are always looking to get evo x fmic or aftermarket...that with a couple very simple, not too expensive mods, and there you have it. If you are a better driver than the RA in video, good for you, the mods should work out better for you than they did for him. Food for thought guys, nothing more.

 

Where's the stock comparison? I agree it gives a very general, very vague idea that with mods, a RA is in some arbitrary time and ET MPH, faster than it is stock.

 

By the way, when the clip has finished, at the bottom where more clips pop up there is a clip third from the left labeled Lethal 1 engine sound, I think what he did with is intercooler is pretty cool.
