possible maf issue or dealer reflash needed
start problems
This morning, my RA would not start up. Took a couple tries, and just cranked the hell out of it and it finally started up. Once it warmed up, it started fine. HELP? Car has 6k miles on it, k&n panel filter and just did exhaust setup 3in catback
There's 2-3 big threads about this. It's a common issue. What seems to work for some people so far is turning your car on to the accessory position and letting it sit there for a few seconds and then starting it. It is believed to be a fuel pump issue, but this is just what other users have found.

Not sure if this matters, but right when the car actually did crank up, the information display flashed "service required" real quick and then it went away. No check engine lights or anything else after that. I talked to the dealership and they told me one of the "recalls" is an ecu reflash. I havent gotten this done, have any of you? Thanks for the advice, makes me feel alot better. I was sweating that. haha

I've had numerous hard-start/no-start issues multiple times in the past, since adopting this habit - I have not had any starting issues.
Just had a relay recall done to correct this problem. Has not happened since, but it has been warmer out as of late.
Generally speaking if you turn your car to the on position and wait 2-3 seconds before you start cranking no one has had the problem happen again.
Otherwise if it fails to start just keep cranking until it starts or you will flood the engine and contaminate the oil with fuel.
