Performance or new set of wheels/tires

Hey guys just wanted your opinion before I make the big purchase. Was wondering if you guys think I should go with performance ( AMS FMIC KIT/BOOST PILL/TUNE) or should I get go with a set of new wheels ( WORKS EMOTION XT7). It's a hard call for me wanted to know others opinion. I don't really track my car or anything; just use it for daily driving. Not sure if I should be upgrading performance though?

Better tires will be both safer and add performance in handling and stopping provided you are using the proper tire in the right application.
Lighter wheels are a performance upgrade as well. Also you get the added benefits of upgraded appearance

Performance upgrades are always fun, however if you are looking at a pure sensibility factor then I would look at a wheel/tire (brakes even possibly) upgrade over go fast bits.

If it’s raw emotion and exhilaration you strive for then by all means go for performance mods first bearing in mind that once you go this route that the wheel/ tires upgrades become a pressing need if you start really driving a performance vehicle.

That’s my opinion have fun with your upgrades

Cheers

Thanks bro; make many great valid points...what if I decide to do both...which order should I do them in? performance first or wheels first?

I am in the same situation as you. However, I have already decided to get my performance mods this year and then save up for new wheels/tires next year.

I first went with winter tires and rims.
I then went with performance upgrades
Exhaust
UICP
Filter
Cobb AP
I might look towards other performance upgrades
High flow cat
then I will buy High Performance Summer Tires and maybe new wheels over the winter months.

But right now most everything is on hold because it's motorbike season and what the Ducati wants it gets

Cheers

some good tires will be the first on the list (if ure still using the OEM tires)..
if ure not tracking the car... i would go for Evo X FMIC instead of the AMS one ... nothing's wrong with AMS one ... the X one is just 1/3 of the price..

I would go with rims and tires. Drop some weight and add some contact patch. Your handling, breaking, and overall performance should improve. Plus, you'll still have some time to not worry about whether your warranty will still be intact.

+1 on rims and tires. I usually also upgrade the suspension along with changing the rims.

You'll notice a big difference with better tires

i agree with what they said ^^ i went with new wheels, rims and a set of suspension (eibach pro kit) and i couldn't be happier with what i choose. handling, braking is noticeable and makes the car look more aggressive IMO.
